Spyglass and Kettle

The Spyglass and Kettle is a large friendly pub with a beer garden. It is situated on the cliff top just around the corner from Beach Lodge. They serve traditional pub food until 10pm seven nights a week. They have a good selection of local ales and all the national favourites too. Live music every friday night until midnight.

The Commodore

A relaxed pub atmosphere to enjoy, lunch, drinks, light-bites or an evening meal. Outside seating, overlooking the sea and often offers two meals for £10. Serves food until 10pm seven days a week.

Bistro on the Beach

Bistro on the Beach is under new ownership and is now open almost every day of the year. They are also now offering light lunches full meals. They are usually open on Friday and Sturday nights (but its worth checking first). Live music is a regular occurance too, especially on Sunday lunch times.

Urban Reef

Urban Reef is an informal bar, café, deli and restaurant located at the newly transformed Overstrand on Boscombe promenade. This unique location offers panoramic views over the stunning Bournemouth Bay and to the Purbecks and beyond..

Reef Encounter - Boscombe Pier

Reef Encounter is a lovely for a late afternoon/early evening venue to catch the last of the day's sun. They have a large selection of homemade burgers, chicken, steak and a decent selection of drinks including some rather nice cocktails. Wednesday night is steak night with a great deal for 2 dining. 2 nutes walk up the hill from Boscombe Pier

Brewhouse & Kitchen

Brewhouse & Kitchen - Southbourne only opened in April 2016 and offers great food, a large selection of craft beers and real ales, many of which are brewed in their onsite micro brewery. This place gets very busy at weekends but it has a great atmosphere.

Baffi Pizza

Baffi specialises in authentic Neapolitan style pizzas. They are typically 10-12 inches, on a thin, hand kneaded sour doughbase with a large crust. The pizzas are cooked at very high temperatures of up to 500°C by our pizzaioli from Naples, for no longer than 90 seconds in our wood fired ovens.

Quarters is an American style diner serving burgers, chicken, steaks and tapas. It has a bar if you just want a drink or somewhere to sit while you wait for a table. The food is fresh and good size portions, all served in bright and friendly surroundings.

The Ludo Lounge has something for everyone with food served from 9am to 10pm. You can just have a coffee, a snack or a 3 course meal. It's a large bar/restaurant but it does get busy as its another popular venue. There's a outside terrace up on the first floor which is a bit of a suntrap on a summer's day.

Bournemouth town centre


There are 100s of restaurants in Bournemouth town centre, so its a bit of a minefield. If you want something special Neo Restaurant is a great place to try, overlooking Bournemouth Pier. BH2 Leisure complex is Bournemouth's latest attraction and features over a dozen restaurants and 10 screen state of the art cinema. If you want something simpler then The STABLE is pretty good, specializing in Pizza, Pie and Cider.

Boscombe


We love the Little Deli Pickle cafe and our favourite is the fresh Mudeford crab sandwiches or salad on Fridays and Saturdays. Other great places in Boscombe are Abduls Indian & Bengali Cuisine , K'oh Thai Tapas , v and Chaplins Cellar Bar - which is an 'interesting' venue for a drink in the cellar bar or beer garden.

Christchurch


With panoramic views across Christchurch Quay, the River Stour and the marshes, The Boathouse is ideally situated to enjoy everything from fresh coffee to a 3 course meal. With extensive seating and a crazy golf course, the Boathouse is the ideal place for the whole family. Other good places to try include: The New Forest Tea Rooms - on a sunny day it has a great walled courtyard, which is a real sun trap. James and White is another good restaurant and The Captains Club hotel is another excellent venue.

Hengistbury Head & Mudeford Quay


The Noisy Lobster - Mudeford Quay

The Noisy Lobster at Mudeford Quay is an amazing venue, right on the beach , so fantastic views of the Isle of Wight. The food and drink on offer is top quality too, so The Noisy Lobster is great for a special occassion. Hengistbury Head visitor centre islocated just past the Hiker cafe and that is well worth a visit.

Hiker Cafe _ Hengistbury Head

The Hiker cafe at Hengistbury Head is a great place to stop off for a coffee, cake, sandwich or an ice cream. It is located just by the car park next to the land train stop. Also the Hengistbury Head visitor centre islocated just past the Hiker cafe and that is well worth a visit.
